Manik’s architectural journey started with his studies at the University of Derby, Nottingham Trent University, De Montfort University, and the University of Nottingham, where he developed his architectural critical thinking and design abilities.

Manik is a member of the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Manik founded the practice after working within studios across the East Midlands and has over 10 years of practice experience. He is also a visiting tutor at the University of Derby for Architectural Technology and Practice BSc (Hons) and Interior Architecture and Venue Design BA (Hons) courses.

Manik has a keen interest in the history of architecture, using it as a source of knowledge and inspiration. He believes that by analysing historical masterpieces, architects are better able to understand how natural light, materials, structure, mass, symmetry and balance, space requirements, circulation, and hierarchy work in different building types.

As architecture has a profound impact on how people feel within an environment, architects have a responsibility to create high quality architecture for society. When developing any architectural scheme, Manik considers three key components, the client, the context, and the end user, placing equal weight on each element. His architectural philosophy is to design solutions which both suit the context and deliver spaces in which to live, work, learn, worship, relax and gather that create a positive emotional effect.

With over 40 years of experience in the architectural profession, I have contributed to a broad range of Residential, Commercial, Retail, and Industrial projects throughout the UK. My career has involved close collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality technical design solutions for a variety of well-known clients and organisations.

My portfolio includes large-scale data centres, both small and large housing developments, a doctor’s surgery, industrial units, a cinema complex, shopping centres, and high-rise apartment blocks.

As an Architectural Technologist, my core focus is the production of detailed and accurate design drawing packages that not only meet but exceed client expectations. I ensure all documentation complies with Local Authority requirements while enhancing buildability and construction efficiency. I am committed to producing designs that are robust in construction, visually appealing, and durable for the long term.
